Securities and Bonds Investments

The Group invests in a wide range of securities including listed equity shares, equity linked notes, equity convertible notes and bonds spanning from short to long term. The Group generally acquires equity shares listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange or other recognised stock exchanges with good liquidity for investment purposes. The Group’s investments in listed equity shares covers many business sectors including banking, conglomerate, entertainment and media, financial services and investment, healthcare services, industrial materials, infrastructure, mining and resources, and property. Investment and divestment decisions on individual securities and bond investment are made by the Investment & Credit Committee of the Company after considering an array of factors including the business performance and prospects of the target company and the outlook of its industry.
